Will I go to jail?

Most cases of DUI are first-time offenses, for which the punishment is typically probation in lieu of jail time. If your BAC level was above .2%, jail time is mandatory. If you were involved in a DUI accident, you will also be jailed prior to your initial court date.

Will I lose my driver’s license?

You will be served with a notice of revocation and you have only 7 days from that notice to request a hearing with the DMV. If you do not request this hearing you may lose your license.

How do I get my license reinstated?

You must complete any court-ordered requirements to have your license reinstated. Some clients may be eligible for a “red” or work-restricted license.

What if I was in an accident?

Contact our office immediately. If someone was injured or killed in your accident you will face felony charges and time in state prison.

What about if I’ve had a previous DUI?
